HVAC Filters

Hollaway-Meyers offers many tips to keep your Heating and Cooling Units running smoothly, one of the those tips is to remember to change your heating filter. Changing your furnace filter is extremely important, not only do filters catch allergens, dust, and dirt they also clean the air you breathe and keep your heating and cooling equipment running efficiently. Home air filters or more commonly known, furnace filters keep the coils and heat exchange units clean, in return the unit does not work as hard and extends the life. Hollaway-Meyers currently offers filters from Lennox, a company that we trust and recommend to keep the air quality in your space clean and keep your HVAC Units working the best they can, even in between service visits.

Most consumers know that they have a HVAC filter and it needs to be changed often. However what most do not know is that filters have a MERV Rating on them. MERV stands for Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value. Below is a table that offers the importance of a filter and its MERV Rating.
